Sam Ahangama is the Deputy Head of Compliance at the National Bank of Kuwait International Plc (NBKI). He oversees the Bank's compliance program and advises executive management on regulatory change matters. As a compliance professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in the UK, Sam's previous experience includes working as the Senior Compliance Manager for Europe Arab Bank Plc and the Head of Compliance & MLRO for the Bank of Ceylon. Throughout his career, he has held various roles for global financial institutions.  

Sam is a distinguished Fellow member of the International Compliance Association and holds a Diploma in Anti Money Laundering. He is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments and holds a Diploma in Investment Compliance. Presently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation at the University of Warwick.
