As a Management Board member, Rūta is responsible for AML, sanctions, non-financial risk management, and internal governance. Her last role was with the Luminor banking group, where she was leading the Customer Risk Management Department and earlier Sanctions Compliance Controls, Compliance Lithuania departments and was also the group Sanctions Officer. Rūta has accumulated a wealth of experience in the financial sector: over 10 years with the regulators (Insurance Regulator and the Central Bank of Lithuania), and over 10 years in the private sector: serving as AML internal audit manager in the money transfer business, compliance officer and lead roles in the banking sector. 

Rūta holds a post-graduate diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the ICA, and is also a fellow member in the organization. She is a CAMS, CGSS, DPO certified professional.
