This award recognises an individual who has continued long service (10 years+) working in the field of compliance or financial crime. This is an individual who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the culture of compliance, the development of the profession, the creation of industry-wide standards and/or influenced the improvement of the regulatory structure. 

Judges will be looking for a person who has consistently, across their career and the organisations they have worked for, led the way in compliance. This is an inspiring role model for others working across the profession. Someone who is regarded as a thought-leader, a change-maker and a passionate professional who has gone above and beyond to deliver measurable impact and outcomes. 

Eligibility

  • This award is open to all stakeholders working in compliance: Internal teams, external advisors, RegTech firms etc 
  • Entries for this award must be nominated by a Manager, Stakeholder or Colleague - or where applicable a Client. 
  • Self-nominations will not be accepted - please seek a nominator. 
  • Entries must demonstrate the stand-out achievements of the individual over the course of their career. 
  • We welcome entries recognising individuals working for businesses within Europe.

Spirit

  • Please provide a brief overview of the career history of the individual.  
  • What makes this individual stand-out in terms of their contribution to compliance – within the organisation, or industry? 
  • Please describe what this individual has specifically been committed to change, improve or professionalise throughout their career – whether to raise standards, improve education or career development, professionalisation of compliance, or enabling the development of a compliance community (for example)

Approach

  • Please provide relevant detail to support your entry including: 
  • In what ways has this individual championed compliance and strived to make a difference? 
  • How has this individual embraced collaboration with stakeholders to enable change?  
  • In what ways would you describe this individual as an advocate for the profession? 
  • How has this individual been influential, how have they inspired others?

Outcome

  • What have been the main accomplishments for this individual through their career? What would you specifically like to draw attention to? 
  • Judges would like to review any qualitative or quantitative evidence that describes the impact this individual has made on the development of professional standards, best practice conduct, compliance frameworks, career pathways – for example. 
  • In what ways in this individual a role model, a thought-leader, a well-respected member of the compliance community?

  • Please provide up to three testimonials in support of the nomination from colleagues, internal business partners or wider stakeholders who can validate the success and contribution of the individual over the last 10+ years.
  • Please keep each testimonial to a max of 100 words.
